Artifex Announces Acquisition of DocRaptor

San Francisco, CA - Artifex Software, Inc., an ePapyrus company recognized globally for its PDF and document technology solutions, announced the acquisition of DocRaptor, LLC, a high-precision HTML-to-PDF conversion company based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

DocRaptor is a trusted solution for businesses seeking to convert HTML-based content into accurate, production-ready PDF and Excel documents. Known for its flexible API integration and reliable 99.99% uptime, DocRaptor has earned the trust of top-tier organizations such as NVIDIA, Shopify, VMware, GoDaddy, HubSpot, Accenture, and the Linux Foundation. It also plays a key role in delivering customizable document experiences in education technology through companies like Clean Catalog.

The service is fully certified under SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance standards and is compatible with a wide range of programming languages and platforms. Today, DocRaptor serves a growing customer base of over 1,800 active users, with strong adoption among corporate and enterprise clients.

With this acquisition, Artifex enhances its document processing portfolio by linking DocRaptor’s high-precision HTML rendering engine with PDF.co’s versatile API platform. By combining these complementary technologies, Artifex aims to deliver highly scalable and exceptionally high-quality document services across a wide range of business use cases, including the automation of complex documents, generation of personalized reports, and streamlined processing of tax invoices and billing statements. The integration also enables a two-way cross-selling strategy—introducing the DocRaptor API to PDF.co’s global user base of over 4,300 subscribers, while expanding access to the broader Artifex product ecosystem for existing DocRaptor customers.

The existing DocRaptor organization and brand will remain intact following the acquisition. CEO Matthew Gordon and key engineering staff will continue under new employment agreements, ensuring continuity for customers and partners.

As Artifex continues to expand, this acquisition represents a pivotal step in delivering developer-friendly, high-performance document infrastructure that powers automation across industries—from finance and healthcare to education and enterprise tech.

“This acquisition is a strategic decision that goes beyond simply securing functionality; it comprehensively secures our technological prowess, customer base, and recurring revenue structure,” said CEO Jeong Hee Kim. “We will continue to launch advanced SaaS product lines that address the complex document processing needs of global customers.”
